Compensation – While G&W employees enjoy a collegial, small company environment, we are committed to compensating our employees in line with our largest competitors:

  • Salary – We regularly review our salary structure to ensure employees are compensated fairly in this highly competitive market.
  • Award Programs – A variety of bonus programs, including Employee Referrals and participation in the Suggestion Program, offer additional rewards to employees for extraordinary efforts that have a positive impact on the company.

 

Health and Insurance Benefits – G&W provides a superb overall insurance program designed to meet employee needs:

  • Medical Insurance – The Company offers employees a choice of participation in either a Point-of-Service or Preferred Provider Plan, both available at a nominal contribution by the employee.  Both plans include such features as large networks of participating physicians, in and out-of-network coverages and robust prescription benefits.
  • Dental Insurance – Our dental program has the largest network of participating dentists in all of NJ.  G&W pays 100% of employee premium costs, and dependents may be covered with a modest cost to the employee.
  • Life Insurance – Because the loss of income due to the death of a wage earner can put a serious financial burden on any family, G&W provides employees with life insurance to help provide for their families in the event of a death.
  • Disability Insurance – Since income loss in the event of injury can also be a serious financial burden, G&W provides employees with long-term disability insurance in the event of accident or illness.

 

Retirement Savings Plans – G&W helps employees save for retirement in a number of ways:

  • 401(k) Plan – Employees may contribute any percentage of their salary, within government restrictions, for investment in a wide variety of employee-driven fund choices. G&W matches 30% of the first 4% of salary an employee contributes to the plan.
  • Profit Sharing Plan – Subject to corporate profitability, G&W makes an annual contribution to the 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan based on the employee’s base wages.

 

Paid Time Off – G&W understands the importance of employee-life outside of work and has implemented a Paid-Time-Off (PTO) program that allows employees maximum flexibility:

  • Employees accrue PTO on a bi-weekly basis; PTO hours are put into the employee’s PTO account.  Hours taken are simply deducted from the employee’s PTO account.
  • PTO may be taken for any absence, including planned vacations, personal emergencies and activities, and short-term illness.
  • Time off may be taken in as little as 2-hour increments, allowing the employee to attend to personal concerns without having to use significant amounts of accrued time.
  • Employees may carryover up to 80 PTO hours at the end of the calendar year.

 

Other Benefits – To round out our comprehensive benefits programs, G&W also allows employees the opportunity to participate in the following:

  • Tuition Reimbursement – In our effort to support the continuing education of our employees, G&W provides a generous tuition reimbursement program for business related course attendance.
  • Dependent Care Reimbursement Account – Employees may put aside pre-tax dollars to pay for dependent care expenses such as elder care or childcare.
  • 529 College Bound Fund – Put aside tax deferred dollars to be used for the college education of the employee and/or dependents.
  • Long-Term Care Insurance – Option to buy long-term care insurance for the employee or family members at group rates.
  • Dependent Life Insurance – Opportunity to purchase additional life insurance for the employee and/or dependents at group rates.
  • Company Store – All G&W over the counter pharmaceutical products are available for sale to employees at considerable discounts.
